How did the idea for your business come about?

Music was always a passion of mine, since my teenage years. I was in a group called Hitt N Runn and we was offered a record deal until a tragedy hit the group, it stopped the deal from going forward.

So years later my wife Joy encouraged me to live my dreams again, so I put out my first Album in 2012 called No longer in captivity and my second in 2018 called Storyteller. Later came OmegláDon Productions LLC, my passion for music is what drove me to start an Indie label.

How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?

My team is my family. I'm one of the producers on the team and Anthony aka Ref3 of Ref3media which is my god son. Ref3 is the company's music engineer. He does all the mastering and mixing behind every project. He's also was on of the producers on my first album. All of them care just as much for OmegláDon productions as I do, until God sends the right people to join our team, we will make this dream work. My first artist which is my son Stephon Isom aka Legacy had a love for music since the age of 8, with producers credits on my first album No longer in captivity. So, I didn't have to look far for my first artist, he was sitting right in my face. I'm looking soon to do a talent search to find other artist to join the label.

What three pieces of advice would you give to other children who want to become entrepreneurs?

1. Always follow your passion. Without a passion we perish.

2. Dreams come true as long as you work hard towards them.

3. Always stay committed and focus.

If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently? I would've continued a long time ago, instead of letting years go by. But! I'm glad I waited, my son Legacy is now a legend in the making.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

1. Put God first, you will never go wrong.

2. Consistently is the key and with that you must trust the process.

3. Determination and Passion for what you do is a must.

What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them? With starting the label we haven't experience any failure, thank God. We pray we don't, but just in case, I would say take your failures as a learning curve and never allow disappointment to settle in. It will become your enemy in your growth and development process.

How many hours do you work on a day on average?

I work 4 to 8 hours a day with my artist.

Describe/outline your typical day? I'm first a working man, that provides for his family, while growing the label. Then I go and me and my artist works on music as much as we can. By him being in his junior year in high school, we work 4 hours after he get homes from school.

How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

It's exciting, my family is apart of what I'm doing, so it makes it so much easier for me to get through this process, with ease. Having a supportive wife by my side, it makes me grateful with so much gratitude, that she's a willing vessel to help me carry this dream.

What motivates you?

My family is my every day motivation to keep moving and don't turn back.

What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur? I've downgraded a lot of things to make sure I can have the finances to make this label all I'm dreaming it would be.

Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years? I see multiple artists from different genres of all ages. I also see my son Legacy taking over within the 10 to 15 year mark and carrying his father's Legacy.......

Our team would like to thank you for reaching out to us to become a part of Fashion Gxd family. It's such an honor to become apart of something great.
