FGM: Its an honor to sit down with you all . Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career .
Answer: stilett0b0ss.com is a one woman show. I jumped into fashion styling in 2014 head first when a photographer who is a family friend asked me to style a ballerina for a photo shoot and 5 years later here we are. Being a self-taught stylist can be frowned upon but I think it takes b@!!$ to put yourself out there.
FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?
Answer: my clients are typically up and coming models who are looking to build their portfolio or anyone looking for seeking help with wardrobe for an event.
I enjoy working on projects with like-minded individuals who can come together with a purpose to build something bigger and better that will benefit us all.
FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?
Answer: By helping my clients elevate their look and portfolios with some good vibes, fabulous wardrobe I put good vibes into the universe.
FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: I was unpaid for the first two in half years of fashion styling but I kept pushing forward because it was something I enjoyed and had a passion for. Now I have models, publicist, boutique owners & fashion show producers reaching out to me. It's honestly surreal at times
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand
Answer: Open minded, Determination, and Confidence
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?
Answer: Had to a 4 am call time for a sunrise photo shoot in December in Chicago
FGM: Being a entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: I created boundaries, schedules and calendars to help me stay on top of the A1 moments with family, friends and work this way there was a balance that will not drive me insane.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?
Answer: I think it comes from growing up on the streets of Chicago that taught me to think fast on my feet as soon the shit hits the fan and being a mom teaches you to meet crazy deadlines. Have you ever tried getting a family of 6 out the door in under 30 minutes??
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments?
Answer: My styling closet is where the magic happens. I literally sit in my closet and turn up the cardi b radio, bring out all magazines and have a smoke. This is where I pull inspiration from the fashion gods to create my best looks
FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: The public figure that inspires me is Rhianna. She is a brown skin girl minding her business and flourishing as a boss babe!!
How do you handle stress ?
Answer: My husband always reminds me to breathe and I tell myself "this too shall pass" works like a charm. Not to mention I carry rose quartz in my pockets which helps keeps me grounded.
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have ?
Answer: Drive, Patience and Determination
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there?
Answer: In 10 years I see stilett0b0ss.com as one of the most sought after fashion styling empire. I will get there by continuing to build my fashion empire one day at a time and by being featured in amazing magazines like this one.
