Fashion Gxd Magazine : How did the idea for your business come about?
Nikei :The idea came about from working as a nurse and noticing the need for people to receive the help they needed beyond just the physical body but in a holistic way meaning mind, body and spirit to be worked on to bring alignment
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?
Nikei : Thankfully the people that are part of my organization are here to support my vision to empower others. So, those with the same vision gravitated to me and I to them.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What three pieces of advice would you give to college students who want to become entrepreneurs?
Nikei : My top three pieces of advice is to listen to your spirit which will never steer you wrong for it wants only the best for you. Second, be patient with yourself. Yes, we should have goals/vision but do not compare your growth to those of others. Keeping working on your goals at the pace that works best for you so that you may see the powerful lessons that come with them. Third, choose love in making decisions so it can come back to you.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Nikei : No, I would not do things differently with my career. I learned a lot and would not change it.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Nikei : The top three things to be an entrepreneur are: vision, creativity and belief in oneself.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
Nikei : I do not consider anything to be failures for again everything is a lesson. I choose to call them pit stops and I we decide to go further is entirely up to us.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How many hours do you work a day on average?
Nikei : My work hours vary but I am a strong believer in balance. So, I may do work with clients or computer in a day but I make sure to allow time for myself or family and meditation or exercise. If we allow imbalance to come into our lives then it flows into our business.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :Describe/outline your typical day?
Nikei : My typical day consists of morning meditation and prayer, check emails or other contact sites, writing of ideas or future books, client appointments, nature walk/exercise then wind down with time spent with husband.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Nikei : The top effect of being an entrepreneur is the freedom of my time where I am able to do with it as I please which I so enjoy.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What motivates you?
Nikei : To start a new day when I awake motivates me, being an example to my children and the legacy I wish to leave on this earth.
Fashion Gxd Magazine: How do you generate new ideas?
Nikei : I am a constant observer. I see everything as a form of teaching whether it be t.v. shows, nature, people, books I read and meditation.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?
Nikei : Some of the sacrifices made were separating myself from those who did not believe in my business dreams, leaving my full time work of being a nurse and a portion of my savings to begin my business.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?
Nikei : In ten to twenty years I see my business of Holistic Coaching to have assisted in transforming so many lives. I see my humanitarian efforts being on a broader scale.
