Fashion Gxd Magazine : How did the idea for your business come about?

Novia Rose : Well, once I got my feet wet in the industry with Yandy Smith’s brand, Everything Girls Love, LLC, I started to feel like there was a whole community of hard working young women in the business that are not often recognized for their hard work. I would go out to celebrity events and meet so many different women, and connect with them over being the same environment and working on the same project. These are the women who are making things happen, getting the best interviews, connecting Celebs to media, etc. So That idea birthed the term #BuddingRoses and NoveeRose.com.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?

Novia Rose: In addition to find them on Social Media, Honestly, women reach out to me once they see what I am trying to do with the brand. To me its a blessing when people truly believe in your vision. That energy is contagious once I’m around it, I can tell that the person is all the way down for my brand.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : What three pieces of advice would you give to college students who want to become entrepreneurs?

Novia Rose: Get started on your goals NOW! DO NOT wait, or let fear of the unknown stop you from pursuing your dreams. Get that internship, do any related activity you can get your hands on. If your school offers free access to things you are interested in, take advantage!

Fashion Gxd Magazine :If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Novia Rose: Start earlier. I made the mistake of letting fear stop me when I was younger. I’m blessed to be in the position I am in now. I went to college for exactly what I’m doing now, and I failed to take amazing opportunities.

Fashion Gxd Magazine :What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Novia Rose: Excellent Communication, Excellent Time management, and knowing how to market themselves in this generation of millennials.

Fashion Gxd Magazine :What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?

Novia Rose: I bombed a Wendy Williams interview very early on, because I failed to do research on the job position I was interviewing for. Now I research EVERYTHING I do before hand. I’ve also given away amazing opportunities because of the negative energy I received. I’ll never do that again. Let haters, hate. That's what they do best. That's their job.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : How many hours do you work a day on average?

Novia Rose: Between my social media clients and editorial positions, I’m always ON. if you know me, you know my phone is always in my hand. So I’d say I’m pretty much on call 24/7.

Fashion Gxd Magazine :Describe/outline your typical day?

Novia Rose: Typical day for me consists of a computer and my phone, from the moment I wake up I make sure all of my morning posts are up, then I log onto NoveeRose.com to handle posts and back end business for the day. I recently just finished working with Tribeca Enterprises for this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, so my days were jammed packed as i was in the office everyday from 9 to 5 (sometimes later) and still handling my other projects simultaneously.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

Novia Rose: It hasn't actually. Again I'm very blessed with loved ones who completely understand what I have to do in order to be successful.

Fashion Gxd Magazine :What motivates you?

Novia Rose : Failure.

Fashion Gxd Magazine: How do you generate new ideas?

Novia Rose: I'm a Virgo, which means I’m a professional over thinker.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?

Novia Rose :TIME. is the biggest sacrifice anybody will have to make. You're going to miss out on some big things, people will be upset with you, but at the end of the day, your dream requires all of your energy.

Fashion Gxd Magazine : Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?

Novia Rose: A successful Media Maven, living comfortably.
