Written by : Samantha Cee
This week we sat down with an exclusive interview with the amazing rising brand , RoyaltyByRoots. Their purpose is to advocate holistic health & guide the community to the natural form of healing and provide resources in balancing mental and physical health.
Creating non-toxic products that's beneficial for skin, body, hair, and oral health. Being passionate in holistic studies/health has turned my desired interest/hobby into my very own lifestyle.
Dealing with personal issues affected my self-esteem and caused me to believe a misconception that I was only beautiful with makeup, hair extensions, and exposure clothing.
Growing up, dealing with insecurities from on-going acne and getting no results using commercial products led me to create RoyaltyByRoots. Take a look at our exclusive interview below :

FGM: It’s an honor to sit down with you all . Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career .
Answer: On May 7th, 2017 I decided to take my leap of faith by starting my own business.
I did not know that my DIY intentions would turn to a dream come true.I really didn’t know what I was doing but I knew it was time for a change. I was tired of being unhappy spending majority of my life living for others.
FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?
Answer: My clients are anyone that suffers with eczema, psoriasis, roasce, severe acne, skin & body irritations and those who want to be health conscious about what they are putting on and inside body. The projects I enjoy working on is formulating products. I love taking the time to research benefits about different plants/herbs and creating products for certain desires and needs.
FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?
Answer: -By being committed to guiding the world back to natures healing.
FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: I was officially six months in being a entrepreneur. No car. Living with my significant other along with four roommates. No steady income and a college dropout. Started working a 9-5 job to help save up for a car, apartment, needed materials for my business, and herbalist certification. Balancing a full time job with trying to pick my business up was extremely frustrating for me. I was unhappy with the living situation, not having transportation, dealing with lack of support with my business and confused on what I truly wanted in life. No matter how frustrating it got, I had to keep going no matter what. Four months later, reliable transportation became available, my significant other and I got our own apartment, and my business began to pick up. I then took another leap of faith by trusting I will be fully supported working my business only. Letting go of that 9-5 job and truly being happy. I developed a plan by increasing my knowledge about holistic health and being more active in networking/vendor events.
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand
Answer: Knowledgeable, effective, and all natural.
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?
Answer: Making the sacrifice to dedicated my business/courses from the time I got off work until Midnight. And early mornings such as 4am until clocking in at 9-5 job.
FGM: Being a entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: I had to set up a plan/schedule to keep me organized and less stressed. Designating time to regroup/meditate, writing affirmations, keeping a objective list for each day, designating a stopping period to allow myself to get sufficient rest, and maintaining a healthy eating lifestyle.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?
Answer: By balancing my mental health. Being on this journey taught me that every thought is a manifestation. A Lot of times we take our blessings in disguise for granted. We often get caught up in things that we don’t want or have that it begins to manifest which creates spiritual blockages and keep you in that same mindset.
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments?
Answer: Nature. It's such a refreshing, calming, and beautiful place to be. I am able to focus and be free.
FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: Erykah Badu. She inspires me by being her authentic self, advocationg holistic living, and spreading peace globally.
How do you handle stress ?
Answer: Stopping exactly what I’m doing. Regrouping myself with positive affirmations, wearing crystals, being in nature, writing, listening to music, meditating, drinking herbal tea, and taking herbal baths.
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have ?
Answer: Ambition, Creativity, and Honesty.
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there ?
Answer: In ten years, I see my products being distributed in mainstream stores and websites, my own physical store front, and best selling all natural products, #1 internationally. I will get there by expanding my network connections, staying positive no matter what, and investing in needed materials to improve my business.
FGM: It was a pleasure speaking with you thank you for joining us
Answer: You guys are more than welcome. I look forward to working with guys again. May you all continue to be abundantly blessed.
