FGM: Its an honor to sit down with you all . Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career .

Brikaa is a cosmetic supplying brand specializing in Gel Polish and other nail products. We currently offer over 100+ colors of one-step polish. Alongside that, we provide 100% hand-made human hair, strip and individual lashes, which come in over five different styles. Though established online in 2017, we have made several appearances at vending events and expos, including New York’s Fashion week. The team at Brikaa are very grateful for all of our partnerships, customers, and accomplishments.

FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?

We love seeing our customers use our products. We also love the feedback we receive which lets us know that we are on the right path. Seeing and speaking with major celebrities like the WWE who use and love our product will forever be overwhelming. It is definitely a great feeling.

FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?

Apparently, getting dolled up has become very pricy over the years. At the Brikaa Shop we like to keep our prices affordable, while supplying top quality product in the process. The love and support from our customers. Ensure that we provide fair prices so that our customers comfortable return.



FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination  to continue as an entrepreneur

There was a point when sales weren't where they should have been, and our online presence just wasn’t making the cut. Instead of giving up, we decided to broaden our reach and filmed our very first Comcast commercial. Having this commercial really allowed us to reach customers who may not have a social media presence. Though this was a big step, it really gave us an opportunity to receive great feedback, awareness,  and expand our client outreach.

FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand

The three best qualities of our brand would have to be our  price, length of usage, and the capability to test all our products in person at our retail store. I say the last one because, sometimes consumers have a hard time trusting the colors they see online. Therefore, given that we have a place where you can physically see your exact color choice allows our clients to trust our product.


FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?  

I am always working irregular hours. If I am not marketing, I'm planning new events, interacting with customers online, or preparing for appearances and vending events. Ensuring that one puts 100% into their investment takes a lot of YOU physically, mentally, and definitely emotionally. With that being said, sometimes “sleep” has to go on the back burner.

FGM: Being a entrepreneur  is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?   


Honestly, I never “got ready for it”. I just learned how to handle my situations as they come. The one thing I still have a hard time doing is taking a step back and realizing all that I have done. Staying busy is my motto.



FGM: How did you acquire  the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?  


Normally, when I am working under pressure, I try to organize the “right now” and the “tomorrows”. For example, If I know that Monday something due on Wednesday, whatever is due Friday gets pushed back to Wednesday. I never over crowd myself with obligations. Therefore, this allows me to know what I am doing, what has been done, and what is then due. I also use a lot of physical planners.




FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments?

I love doing event appearances. Those really inspire me to feel out what the people want, that way I know how to go about marketing and launching new product. Our Brand development comes from our customer request.

FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?  


That’s a hard question, because there are soon many people I have in mind. However, I would say Paris Hilton. I have always been inspired by her drive. She has done so much for the community but has always found a way to help others by giving back. I love how she does things from the heart and not for showing off social media attention. Her marketing for her Brand is amazing, and I love to partner with her one day.

How do you handle stress ?  

Whenever I'm really stressed about something, I like to spend time with my dogs, #Brikaapets. They really remind me how much they love and depend on me to remain strong. I love them for that. I’ll spend time with my siblings, going to the movies or shopping. My family reminds me that everything will not always be perfect immediately, but we all need to take a step back and have some fun. One of my leisure activities is painting canvases. It’s a good stress relief mechanism and allows me to take time for myself because remember no one understands you like you.


FGM: What are the three qualities you  feel an entrepreneur must have ?


I want every entrepreneur to understand that what you plan may not always go accordingly but you still must ensure that every obstacle you face is overcome. Understand your competition, and do not ignore them. Make ways to stand out from the rest. Lastly, believe in yourself and your product. Become very knowledgeable about your brand and your product. If you don't believe, it will be harder to  make others.


FGM:  Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there ?

In 10 years, I’d love to see Brikaa products in stores on the shelves among other major brands. I see the Brikka brand offering more amazing products, that expand across different countries. By the grace of God, and our drive Brikaa will get there.
