Fashion Gxd Magazine : How did the idea for your business come about?
Vanity Vine (CEO): Past the love of fashion, the understanding of fashion fed my drive to release “Vanity Vine”. People would always compliment me on my fashion; however, often felt they could never pull off the style. Vanity Vine is set to provide our customers with not only the fashion, but the skill of outfitting fashionable pieces.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?
Vanity Vine (CEO) I can’t really answer that because I haven’t brought any new faces into my brand.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What three pieces of advice would you give to other children who want to become entrepreneurs?
Vanity Vine (CEO) :Remain consistent, educated, and trust in your dopeness.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Vanity Vine (CEO) I would have trusted in my dopeness before investing in 3 degrees. I knew I loved fashion in high school. Being caught up in the idea that “Fashion was not a real job”, I decided to go off to college. Although I have a successful career as a teacher, the satisfaction is just not there.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur ?
Vanity Vine (CEO): I would say you need the same three things: Trust, Education and Consistency. It’s imperative that you believe in your brand and trust your dopeness/the process. Keep yourself educated on how to continue to grow your brand and remember people gain trust through consistency.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
Vanity Vine (CEO) Not being educated was my biggest failure. Initially, I came up with this good idea and because I had no idea on how to be successful, I was “unsuccessful”. I took some time off, educated myself and came back for the “throne”.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How many hours do you work a day on average?

Fashion Gxd Magazine : How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Vanity Vine (CEO):When running a business you can feel overwhelmed with scheduling. Although my business is my baby, I always make time for my love ones. After 9pm, my computer and phone is off and my attention is on.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What motivates you?
Vanity Vine (CEO):Seeing my name in bright lights. For people to finally be able to believe in my dopeness so much, they want to invest. For me to no longer have to introduce myself
Fashion Gxd Magazine: How do you generate new ideas?
Vanity Vine (CEO): Normally there’s one outfit/look/piece that grabs my attention. From that one look, I generate several looks. I present the looks to my visual, Ciara Shields and together we brainstorm a storyline.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?
Vanity Vine (CEO) Minimize my partying and maximize my investing.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?
Vanity Vine (CEO): I see it in its prime with being able to successfully launch my shoeline “Nicole Vine Shoes” and an official clothing line “Nicov Clothing”.
