Fashion Gxd Magazine : How did the idea for your business come about?
Tania: I got tired of hearing "no one will hire you without any experience." How was I supposed to get experience if no one would hire me? So I decided to create the opportunity for myself and give myself the experience I needed.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?
Tania: It's difficult. My first instinct was to reach out to friends. I have a lot of talented friends that have similar passions. So that's how it started.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What three pieces of advice would you give to college students who want to become entrepreneurs?
Tania: 1: Don't give up. 2: It won't be easy. 3: A little progress is still progress.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?
Tania: Nothing. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I think everything played out exactly how it was supposed to it. I'm happy with the process and looking forward to the future.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Tania: Patience, an open mind, willingness to meet new people
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?
Tania: I unfortunately learned the hard way that it's better to be overdressed than underdressed. I remember my mentor telling me to always dress like I was conducting the interview, no matter who I was interviewing. I was really embarrassed one day when I went to interview a rapper. I showed up in jeans and a t-shirt and his publicist asked me who I was and replied "really?" I never let that happen to me again!
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How many hours do you work a day on average?
Tania: Depending on the day. It could be anywhere from 12-20.
Fashion Gxd Magazine :Describe/outline your typical day?
Tania: Wake up at 1:30am to get ready for work in the city. Head home for a nap at 12pm. Wake up at 3pm, shower and head back into the city at6pm. Interview or attend an event. 11pm head home for a nap. 1:30am wake up and get ready for work.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Tania: It's tough. I don't get to see many people. I just got married and I barely see my husband. I know it's for a great cause but it's just a tough process when you are still working on "getting there."
Fashion Gxd Magazine :What motivates you?
Tania: Happiness. When I see my mom or dad smiling and happy I feel accomplished.
Fashion Gxd Magazine: How do you generate new ideas?
Tania: I surround myself with people that have similar likes and interests. I always write down my thoughts and talk about different ideas I have with people I admire.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?
Tania: Having a life! I don't have one. People think my job is fun so when they see my interviews they think I'm living the life. But, it's all work.
Fashion Gxd Magazine : Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?
Tania: I want to expand and cover restaurants. I eventually want to have my own TV show and an actress. I have a passion for acting. I love making people laugh.
