Bernadette Patterson is the owner of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Hair Salon which has been in business since 2014. A large variety of different services are provided. Including but not limited to Relaxers, Wave Nuevo, Texturizers, Hair Colors, Box Braids, Feed-In Braids, Knotless Braids, Goddess Braids, Regular Cornrows, Up Dos, Roller Sets, Spiral Sets, Crochets and so much more. She also became the CEO/Founder of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products during the pandemic in 2020.

FGM: It’s an honor to sit down with you Bernadette. Tell us a little about your brand and how you’ve come to this vastly successful peek in your career.

Answer: I began as the owner of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Hair Salon. Later in my career, I decided to become the CEO/Founder of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products during the pandemic in 2020. All the salons had to shut down and since I had to shut my salon down during this time I had more than enough time to focus on my own hair product line. I used to be a hair product distributor for a well-known multimillion-dollar brand for the Dudley’s. I enjoyed the experience I had with the Dudley’s going to the salons and barbershops selling the Dudley products and offering CEU Classes that the licensed professionals can go to maintain their license by getting credit hours.

I expanded and created my own line of products and used the experience I gained from the Dudley Brand into my own. I decided to go to Mr. Dudley’s mansion so he can look at my products and give me some tips. He loved the products and he and his staff were willing to help me along the way. Mr. Dudley also gave me a book to help me along the way called Dudley’s 50th Commemorative Edition. This book celebrates 50 years’ worth of memories, insights, and the most pivotal moments. I highly appreciate the help and knowledge I gained from being there.

The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Brand was a sponsor in a stage play called “When A Man Knows” in Atlanta Georgia. The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products was in a salon scene in the stage play. Sharonda Official was one of the actors in the stage play. She is Yung Joc’s hairstylist and is known for being on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. After the stage play was over, I went on stage to talk to everybody about The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Brand. Shafer Harrington was the director and I highly appreciate the opportunity.

The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Hair Products are in a couple of beauty supply stores located in Charlotte NC & Concord NC. Celebrities also use The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. Celebrity TV Personality Nikki Rich the CEO of The Nikki Rich Show uses The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. She also did a couple of promo videos talking about The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. Grammy Award Winning Superstar Producer Zaytoven also uses The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. I did a song produced by Zaytoven called Never Knock Me Down. I did the song in Atlanta GA. In a studio where famous people go to record and made Platinum Hit Records. The purpose of this song is to advertise The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. The purpose of this commercial is to let everybody know he got what I need which is a Zaytoven Beat and I got what he needs which is The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. After we got finished with the commercial, he left with The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products to use in his mansion with his family. The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Brand has also been on billboards. In September of 2022, The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Brand did a Runway show in Greensboro NC at Dudley’s 55th Anniversary. Everybody loved our performance when we got finished. I was the director, stylist, and rapper in this event. FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?

Answer: I feel like I make a difference because my purpose in this world is to make people happy. I am more of a giver than a taker. When clients come into The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Hair Salon, I make sure they feel like they are at home in a great atmosphere with great service. My clients will have a wonderful experience when they walk out of the salon. That is why they keep coming back. The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products are great natural hair products that are healthy for your hair to promote hair growth and help thicken your hair. I had more than one client that had bald spots in their hair but after they used The Dream team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products me and my clients seen a difference.

The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products are high-quality products. You must be careful of the ingredients that are in hair products because they can lead to cancer. In 2023 I’m planning on doing business with different salons and barbershops and have them use The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products behind their chairs and have the opportunity to sell the products as well.

FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand.

Answer: My brand shows consistency by doing great promotions to keep customers updated on the history of the brand, upcoming specials, events, opportunities, etc.

My brand has plenty of knowledge of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products so customers would know the benefits of ordering the products. My brand also has customer loyalty because they love the quality of work the company brings.

FGM: Who are your type of clients?

Answer: My type of client is someone who benefits from The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products and services. I target clients that I can use for marketing and promotions.

FGM: Are you currently seeking help with your business? If so, what kind?

FGM: Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?

Answer: I gained a lot of experience in running a salon when I was working at SmartStyle in Walmart for a long time. I learned how to do a variety of different hairstyles for different nationalities. While running the cash register, stocking shelves with hair products, doing inventory and retailing. I have been wanting my own business for a very long time. Now since I’m doing what I love to do and am passionate about what I’m doing my business became my lifestyle as a business owner.

FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have?

Answer: You must be strong, passionate, and have great leadership.

FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years? How do you plan to get there?

Answer: I will have multiple salons in various locations & will have The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products in salons and barbershops. I’m talking to a businessperson to make sure everything is going in the right direction.
