FGM: It's an honor to sit down with you all. Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career.
Answer: After military service, I needed a way to know only care for my mental health and fight my PTSD but also provide for my family so with hard work and determination I've excelled in the tattoo world
FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?
Answer: Being on tour with Chris Brown was amazing, tattooing at DJ Envy's car show was epic but tattooing the average Joe is the most excitement because ita genuine love and happiness.
FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?
Answer: Being a Black man, father, and husband impacting my community in a positive way has been my life goal. Teaching young kids that look like me is more to life than drugs and sports. You can follow your dreams and get out of the hood. Every year we adopt families for Christmas and Thanksgiving to give them the holiday they deserve. We buy all the gifts they wish for or we pay the bills for the parents so they'll have one less thing to worry about.
FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: When I was a young tattooist I was told I suck and wasn't gonna make it by a fellow artist. So from that moment on it was my life goal to be sure to speak to him at every event we did together to show him that we occupy the same space even though he was in the industry before me. Letting him know I did this on my own without my parent's help or handouts.
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand.
Answer: Self-funded, and Black-owned, we pride ourselves in customer satisfaction and customer service.
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours.
Answer: As an entrepreneur, I work 24/7 but I have to be sure to allot time for my wife and kids to show them they matter before anything else.
FGM: Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: I built a schedule for social media, advertising, and responding to clientele requests. Be sure to take off 2 days to focus on my mental and my family. I make it a priority not to miss any kid's activities, filming, or games.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines as an entrepreneur?
Answer: I'm a 4x combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient. I've fought in Iraq and Afghanistan not to mention I'm from Newark, NJ where the weak die young so I had to be hungry and determined.
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, or place, to develop new brand developments?
Answer: Laying in the bed with my wife and brainstorming. Then I ask my followers their opinion on new adventures I'm thinking of pursuing.
FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: Keith Lee and Tobe Nwingwe inspire me the most because they are selfless and self-made. From the mud with an idea and dream, not giving up even in the toughest times.
FGM: How do you handle stress?
Answer: Video Games and the gym. I try not to express my anger or frustration out on people so I used objects to target ie a punching back or my peloton
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have?
Answer: Honor, courage commitment
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years? How do you plan to get there?
Answer: In 10 years I will have franchised my mobile tattoo studio as well as created jobs for my people.
