FGM: Its an honor to sit down with you all . Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career .
Answer: Thank you for having me. Leigh's Exclusive is an online boutique. I offer cosmetics, stylish handbags and accessories. I literally am the female plug ( laughs). I started doing the foot work like vendor events , photo-shoots and social media posting about 2-3 years ago. I've just been making sure to keep the brand busy and involved in all aspects.
FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?
Answer: My clients are all female based and all different ages as well.
FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?
Answer: I like to make people feel good , make them happy about themselves and to empower all. I know with my brand I accomplish that. From customers commenting or me witnessing first hand as I am delivering their order to them. To know I am bringing my customers happiness and empowerment means so much to me.
FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: In 2017 felt like my whole world did a 360. I made a very in the heat of the moment decision and quit my job. Afterwards, I was in debt , depressed and didn't like my new job. I was mad at myself for how I handled the situation that in all, resulted in me to put a pause on my dreams. I felt I allowed someone to take my business away from me because of how I decided to go about things. But with God , everything is possible. I started praying more , being more grateful and working with the hand I had to play. Fast forward, my old job called to hire me back , I was able to pay off my debt and start up my business again. You don't quit and you don't stress on what you can't control but you work toward what you can control. I could of quit the whole business itself but instead I took a pause and came back hungrier and determined.
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand
Answer: Great Quality, Affordable Prices and a solution to everyone needs.
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?
Answer: Well I work 9-6pm Monday-Friday and every other Saturday while also working on my business.
FGM: Being a entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: Honestly, you just have to be responsible, consistent and organized. I have alarms set up to keep me up to date.
7:30AM- Get Ready For Work 6:30PM- Workout 8:00PM- Business 10PM- Pray. This really helps and I recommend it to anyone starting a business.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?
Answer: I am always planning events and photo-shoots months ahead. This gives me time to get everything together and not be in a rush or feel over pressured.
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments? I would have to say my room and at my job. My room because its my personal thinking cave and work because it gives me that thrive to keep grinding and doing my homework to be able to work for myself one day.

FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: Karen Civil, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Teyana Taylor and Keyshia Kaoir. All five women are boss babes and came in on a mission. They paved the way for women like me from Harlem. Even if they wasn't given the opportunity at first , they made it a mission to work hard as hell so if you didn't see them , you damn sure heard them knocking. They inspire me to keep doing what I am doing and apply the pressure needed for my brand.
How do you handle stress ?
Answer: I pray , workout or take a nap. You need a pause button every human soul does. Especially in business, if you aren't good within neither will your business.
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have ?
Answer: Patience , Determination and Consistency. Nothing happens over night, there will be days you feel you aren't being heard or seen. You get up and get back to the drawing board ! Go 10 times harder but don't quit.
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there ?
Answer: I see Leigh's Exclusive having 3 store locations, going to make up expo events , selling my products in other stores , having my products in fashion shoots and me traveling to panel discussions about how I started the business. I plan to keep doing the foot work , make my own opportunities if not given at the moment and attend events that can help me grow as a better business woman and push the brand further.
